Piecing together the blog.
So I recently installed a new theme for my Tumblr blog to help drive, what I think, to be more brand appropriate. I see myself as a very simple, and functional person, and I wanted my blog to reflect the same concept. Hence the addition of the Solaris theme by Matthew Buchan. It is beautifully designed, and has a fantastic layout. There was one thing that intrigued me about the theme.
At the top left hand corner of the page there is a circle used to place an image. I thought “what an interesting, and lovely little component to leave to be customized.” It may seem like something so simple to anyone else, but I really enjoyed the fact that it was a small something that I could make my own. I thought about what I could use/create for the small space. I came up with this solution. I would create a new illustration every week based on something that inspired me that week. I created the current one based on my wife Melanie. She inspires me daily.
Anyways, I am excited about it, and I hope you all are too. I hope this blog becomes something that is enjoyable, and beneficial for it’s readers.
